Old Fashion-Peanut Butter Cookies
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup of butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of peanut butter
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 1/4 cup of self-rising flour
- 1 egg
- Mix shortening, butter, both types of sugar, peanut butter, flour, and egg until mixed well.
- Cover and refrigerate for 20 minutes (mean while you could pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees)
- Form dough into 1 inch size balls, and place on cookie sheet sprayed with pam, about 3 inches apart.
- Using a fork, flatten dough (once cross ways, and once downward) making a criss-cross design
- Bake for 13-15 minutes or until lightly browned using top rack of oven.
